Favorite Neocon 2016 Office Furniture Designs & Trends

Just got back from three days of the biggest and brightest commercial interiors showcase held in Chicago, Illinois at The Merchandise Mart. The Neocon 2016 event brought together architects, interior designers, furniture dealers, manufacturers, product designers, and more. It’s the most innovative minds in the office furniture, office design and contract furniture industry all under one roof and we are always psyched to attend every year.
The new ideas and concepts in office furniture, materials and technology blew us away this year at Neocon 2016. We saw some ingenious office furniture designs that can be easily incorporated into your existing office space, and some crazy concepts that may influence how we think of the office. We’ve asked ROSI Office Systems employees who work on office designs and furnishings every day to weigh in on their favorites.
DeskMakers, Inc. – John was impressed with the quality, style and moderate price point of their bench desking. A great layout and easy routing of electrical components from infeed source to each individual workstation plus multiple configurations give users incredible flexibility to change up when their business requires a workspace evolution. ESI Ergonomic Solutions (ESI) – Ergonomics create a productive and healthy office environment and ESI has developed and designed the critical tools needed including: monitor arms, sit-to-stand, tables, lighting keyboard solutions and technology solutions. Their showroom at Neocon did an outstanding job showcasing these solutions and John was impressed with their products, pricing and overall business model.
BuzziSpace – Kennen enjoyed a stop at this highly innovative and fun showroom. Last year BuzziSpace created a “buzz” at Neocon 2015 with their award-winning acoustical panels. This year, they did it again with BuzziBalance, which won a Neocon Gold. According to the BuzziSpace website, BuzziBalance creates a non-traditional environment that brings people together, provoking joy and conversation. While “playing” and interacting with their office designs, everyone wholeheartedly agreed.
Nxtwall – Both Kennen and John were impressed with the Demountable Architectural Walls from Nxtwall. Their Neocon 2016 showroom received a recent remodel and it showcased their glass walls beautifully. Their website features a virtual tour of their Neocon 2016 showroom at Merchandise Mart, along with an image gallery.
Office Master – The OM Truly chair won a HiP Award at Neocon 2016, a recognition program honoring industry people and innovative design solutions. Christi was drawn to the multitude of color options along with the durability and functionality of the chairs. Office Master’s core mission is to solve every day seating needs with value-based, and ergonomics-focused Smart Seating Solutions.
3Form – ROSI is always looking for creative ways to customize our remanufactured cubicles, REcube, along with Synergy, our custom-made new cubicles. When Christi saw 3form’s colorful showroom full of luminescent glass in 250 colors, she knew 3Form’s translucent glass and eye-popping resin materials will bring the flare to your office! No wonder 3Form won ‘Best Showroom’ at Neocon 2016.
